ABOUT JORDAN FALLS BAPTIST CHURCH
Our Purpose
The last words of Jesus Christ provide the instructions to every church. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19, 20)
WORSHIP SERVICE
Our Worship Service is held in our sanctuary on Sunday mornings. We celebrate the Lord's Supper (Communion) the first Sunday of every month. The third Sunday of the month is Missionary Sunday. The fourth Sunday of the month is Food Bank Sunday, when we bring donations for our local food bank.
BIBLE STUDY
Join Pastor Barry Aitken and wife Sandra at the Parsonage Wednesdays starting at 7:00 pm
(from Sept. to June)
WHAT WE BELIEVE
At the Heart of Everything We Do
Baptists share many beliefs in common with other Christians including belief in one God, the human and divine nature of Jesus Christ, and the significance of his crucifixion and resurrection for salvation. With other Christian churches, they know that hope for the individual, the nation, and the world is found in Jesus Christ and in a personal relationship with Him.
The Greatest Commandment
Matthew 22:37-39
Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
